Heading Out!

We stayed an extra day to see our 19th grandchild born on January 24, 2011, thanks Maryn and Kreger! Maryn and baby E/L? are doing well and came through like troopers with the birth process. We love ‘em and wish them the best of health, peace and joy in life.

We left our home in Centerville about 10:30 or 11:00 this morning. It took me until 2 or 3 AM to get everything packed then it was amazing how many little details this morning there were to get out of the house for a year and a half. We are excited to go and serve and to get on with life. It was a full blown snow storm that we left in but by Evanston it stopped and by Lyman it was clear roads until we got to Laramie, of course, so we stay in Cheyenne tonight. Tomorrow we will drive on to Des Moines to stay with Ben and Tearsa, maybe Coleyboley and Ellybug will be there too. Hope you all are well and happy.

Baby E Big Sisters Rock

She looks like her sisters, even the red hair (this one is really red).

MTC

January 17-21, 2011 at the MTC

We just spent the most incredible week at the Mission Training Center in Provo, Utah.  It was five days of spiritual high.  We stepped out of the world, much like you do at the temple, but it was five days of focusing on the Savior.  We learned to teach the lessons from  Preach My Gospel and the central role the Book of Mormon plays in teaching the gospel.  We were there with 2000 young Elders and Sisters whose energy, enthusiasm and love for their Savior was unmatched anywhere.  They are the best of the best.  We would recommend this experience to anyone.  Oh yes, Rod says the food was good too.
